When my daughter was expecting her first child in 2020, gathering in person wasn’t possible. I built a website so friends and family could still celebrate with her, and more than 40 people joined in.
I've kept the domain Keep On At Real because it captured exactly what that moment felt like, and it's the meaning behind the name Keep On At Real Media.
I didn't know it at the time, but that project opened the door to what would eventually become Keep On At Real Media. You can read a little more on my About page.
That experience reminded me how much I enjoy working with websites, graphics, and clear communication. Today, I help small businesses share their work in a way that feels warm, simple, and true to who they are.
For the Small Business Owner Who’s Tired
You’re carrying more than most people realize. A few things I’ve learned, both from my own work and from supporting others:
You don’t have to tackle everything at once. Choose one small thing and make it better. That’s enough for today.
Your website doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to be clear so people understand what you do.
When help isn't in the budget, focus on the parts you can make easier.
Simple systems are the ones you’ll actually keep up with. If something feels too complicated, it’s a sign to simplify, not push harder.
Running a business is no small thing. If you're tired, it makes sense. Give yourself credit.
